Orbea Occam 29

Occam's razor is the law of parsimony, economy or succinctness -- "simpler explanations are, other things being equal, generally better than more complex ones". And so the Orbea Occam 29 was born.
At first look, the Orbea appears to be a run of the mill single pivot bike, but further examination reveals a bike that is both simple in design and sophisticated in technology.
The main pivot on the OCCAM is located on the seat tube above the bottom bracket using oversized sealed cartridge bearings. This location provides for efficient pedaling when climbing and sprinting while providing 105mm of beautiful plushness when descending. All this is mated with Fox's new RP23 shock with CTD (climb, trail, descend) damping to provide instant tuning at the flip of a switch.
Adding to the sophisticated simplicity of the OCCAM design is the concentric pivot at the rear axle. The result, a fully active suspension under braking without any of the flex and slop that is found in four bar suspension systems. What does that mean to you, simple, you can dive deeper into the corners and brake later knowing that the rear end will stay firmly planted on the ground without brake stutter.
The OCCAM 29 is available in both Hydro-formed Aluminum and Orbea's Silver Level Carbon, with complete bike prices for the Hydro-formed bike as low as $2599, and Carbon fiber models as low as $3899.
If you are ready for a big wheeled, trail-shredding, lightweight, super-comfortable machine that delivers fun pure and simple, you are ready for the Orbea Occam 29!
